inmidtown in the New London Quarterly /

We were pleased to see the write-up of the Think Tank event held in July, co-hosted by New London Architecture and inmidtown, in the Autumn edition of the New London Quarterly.  The aim of the event was to discuss what needs to happen in the area to make the most of the opportunities arising out of Crossrail’s arrival in 2018.

The event highlighted the need to attract more creative occupiers to this area of central London, by improving the quality and mix of uses, including more coffee shops, retail and leisure uses, with particular emphasis on those services that are open in the evenings.  Together with significant public realm improvements, this will lead to a dynamic and vibrant urban environment that makes full use of the diversity of spaces in Bloomsbury, Holborn and St Giles and the unique attributes of the key ‘villages’.

With the arrival of Crossrail, the inmidtown districts are set to become amongst the most easily accessible in London with the number of people in the district potentially doubling; surely an opportunity none of us want to miss.
