Promoting the local retail and leisure offering to a wider audience in order to attract increased footfall into the area is a priority for inmidtown.

Putting the district on the map

Whether it’s visitors looking for a local business or tourists on their way to the British Museum, our area Map Guide is a great way to encourage them to explore further. The map works in tandem with Legible London, the scheme developed by Transport for London, to help walkers make sense of the capital’s streets with co-ordinated street signs. On average, our Rangers hand out 1,200 area maps every week.

Shopping & Eating Guide

Our local shopping and eating guide is produced twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn. In total, 30,000 copies are distributed from our information kiosk and 28 other venues including the foyers of local businesses and hotels. Apart from listing shops, pubs, bars and restaurants, it highlights some of the lesser-known retail areas and carries advertising for local businesses.  If you are interested in taking space to advertise your business, please contact info@inmidtown.org

Consumer website

The new Consumer Website is a key tool in attracting the attention of the wider world.  It’s packed full of listings of local hotels, restaurants and shops plus helpful directions on how to get here, and details of our popular guided walks programme. Apart from online, it’s also accessible via the touch-screen facility at our Holborn information kiosk.
