Energy & lighting /

No business can avoid energy bills. The volatile price of energy, influenced as it is by so many global factors, also has a significant impact on your running costs.

Use less and pay less

Better buying is one highly effective way to cut and control your energy bill. Another is reducing your energy usage and we are also looking at ways to help you to do that as well.

A brighter solution

Lighting is one area where real savings can be made. Lighting accounts for between 20% and 40% of a building’s energy consumption but 75% of commercial buildings still use outdated bulbs rather than energy-efficient and cost-effective alternatives. There are also intelligent lighting control systems available that ensure that you only use lighting when and where it’s required. inmidtown is currently working to offer members a free review of their building lighting with a free recommendations report. A supply chain has already been established to provide and install any products required.

Free energy audit for BID members

This no-obligation service identifies opportunities for cutting costs with your existing arrangements, as well as highlighting areas where you could better manage energy usage. Once you have the necessary intelligence about the current market and potential savings, you can make an informed decision to change suppliers or not.

To conduct the audit, we require a Letter of Authority from you, giving us access to the usage data from your current provider. We then analyse this to compile your energy report.

You can book an energy audit, even if you are currently tied into an existing contract by calling 020 7078 7077 or emailing info@inmidtown.org.uk.

Please post the Letter of Authority to: inmidtown, 2nd Floor / Kingsbourne House / 229-231 High Holborn / London WC1V 7DA or email it to info@midtown.org
