Museum Mile Walks /

Several times a year, inmidtown organises a guided Museum Mile walk. The Museum Mile stretches from Euston Road to the bank of the River Thames consisting of twelve of the capital’s most extraordinary collections, some world-famous, others little-known gems. The inmidtown guide briefly introduces each museum before visiting one specially selected exhibit. There is a full day version visiting all 12 museums; a half day version visiting 6, and a two and a half hour version visiting 3.

The walks are free of charge and there are no admission charges but numbers are limited and some may require advance booking. To register for any of the walks that need to be booked in advance, and to see the full list of forthcoming walks, please visit our walks programme.

What the people say

"A very enjoyable day visiting twelve museums. Aly chose a varied selection of artefacts and as usual his commentary was excellent - a mixture of facts, anecdotes, quotes and conjecture interlaced with jokes ...Yet again, inmidtown is doing a great job of promoting the area. A special thanks to Aly!” Robert Gordon, September 2011

"Thank you! I was on the Museum Mile walk yesterday, and it exceeded my expectations. Aly is a pro: knowledgeable with excellent presentation skills, and obviously very experienced. Funny too! I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in museums, and for those who might not be up to a full day, I imagine the half-day is absolutely brilliant.” Shannon O. September 2011
